Chris, Mike, Beth, Dan, Hannah & Denise & Rob all came up this weekend. We all went for a day on the river. I will not say who fell in however, Chris, Mike, Rob, & Beth did not get wet. Chris & Rob rented kayaks the were very cool and (cannot read word).
Hannah planted a small pine tree. Dan does not know how to steer a canoe, and Hannah is not going to trust Dan for one week as punishment. Chris Beth & Rob went to Wakely Lake. We did the 3 mile path on Sunday. Mike stayed behind and cut up the satelite dish as well as several trees & a telephone pole. Dan managed to steer into a fly fisherman. Usually he is yelling about crazy canoers on the river.
Dan Denise & Hannah left to Dan's grandparents house early. Beth felt bad that they left early because she promised to play more games with Hannah Sunday afternoon. On Friday night Chris lost gin rummy to rob. over all it was a great weekend and we all got to spend some quality time together as friends. the real big news is that mike & Beth got engaged this weekend at the Castel while on the river. I will let Mike & Beth elaborate on this.
Ok, here's the sappy part. Consider yourself warned...
After an exciting adventure on the river, we almost ended up as wet as Dan - thanks again Chris(oar-boy), we finally got to the castle. We related our tale of misadventure over sandwiches we found ourselves up by the castle ruins. I was standing on the remains of the front porch trying to imagine the view when the castle still stood. Mike walked up, told me he loved me, got down on one knee asked me to marry him. Of course i said yes and proceeded to kiss him. That's pretty much it. back to the story... -Beth
