7/31-8/2 Shelley + Tessa came up for the weekend. Came up on Saturday, took very long to get here, many convoys of army
vehicles - not fun. Nothing too exciting. Tried to BBQ - no propane!! and watched TV + ate a yummy dinner. Played scavenger hunt after reading 4 pages of instructions only to find summary at end. Sunday went to breakfast, watched some golf, hung outside reading - worked on our tans - only got burnt! ouch! Shelley freaked out when she took off her show + a beetle walked out too. Went for a walk, played drinking monopoly. (rules in drawer). Started about 9:00 Shelley passed out at 10;30. Drinking Monopoly causes slight amnesia - Shelley wandered around cabin in middle of night and has no recollecction of anything. Passed out in bed woke up on couch. woke up and went home. Be back for 3rd Annual Amaretto Sour Bocci Ball Tourney. -Tessa
7/9-7/11 Dan and Denise came up. Went in search of baked goods and cheeries. Found the baked goods rather quickly. The cheeries took some time, but ultimatly we found them at the 4 mile road exit. Went to chapil and drank beer hoping to see some bats and night hawks, but there were no flies and therefore no nighthawks and very few bats.
7/2-7/5 Mike, Beth, Skully, Max, Matt, Mark, Tessa, Shelley, Rob, Jackie + RJ were up for the holiday. Were going to paint the trim, but Chris has the paint. Matt left on the 4th. Went shooting at the old dump site w/ Bud. Rob brought up some of his arsenal + Mike had his 20 guage. Suprisingly Jackie stayed curled up in a ball rocking back + forth exclaiming "I was raised by hippies" the entire time. (Rob did get her to shoot his .357 twice) Also set up a pellet range in the yard. That was fun. Played shoes and some of the guys learned the train dice game. Tess + Shelley came up on the 3rd and left early on the 5th. Beth + Rob went golfing at the Forest Dunes while Mark kayaked + Mike solo canoed from Steckart Bridge to Smith Bridge. OH- we watched the fireworks in town on the fourth, + the girls + Mark spent lots of time playing trivia badly.
