8/28- 9/1

Chris, Shelley + Tessa came up Thursday night so Chris could tie flies + fish on Friday, but he didn't. Lost power Thursday night so Tessa + Shelley had to drink all the beer before it got warm. Chris cut the lawn(80%) on Friday + Mike showed up and did another 15%. Drank heavily Friday night. The participants of this glorious uncontest were: Shelley, Chris, Rob, Jackie, Tessa, Mike, Beth, Matt, Mark, Jeff, Tom, Dan, Denise, Hannah, Ann. (Also: Skully, Pauly, + Quinn (Jeff's puppy)). Everyone won the untournament and drank much Amaretto Sours + beers. The bottle bong is good. We ate the following: 18 lbs of ribs, 2 whole boxes of spaghetti, 7 lbs of hamburgers, 14 hot dogs, 2 bags of redskin potatoes, 2 big cans of beans, and much much more. Someone across the street blew something up and there were cops and tow trucks and much ado about something. Pauly went canoeing on Sunday with Chris, Tessa, Rob, Jackie, Matt, Ann, Mike, Beth and Mark. He was none too happy to be inn a canoe but braved it out anyway. Ann will ALWAYS be in the back of the canoe. ALWAYS. If you pee on Jeff's tent there will be "Blood and Black eyes all around". Unfortunately he never mentioned anything about relocating it to the roof of the shed. Matt can drive a train and drives a paper car. He would like to know if ground pork feels the same as ground beef when stuck up your nose. Rob will not tell the dirty joke again unless everyone present begs for it on their knees. Tom promised to enlarge the fire pit in May 2004. Mike tried to wrestle Chris but ended up going gay + kissed him instead. Again this year, Tessa got duct taped to a chair. Ann volunteered to be duct taped next year!!! The final outcome of the grill discussion was that it is NOT a grill, but rather a trash can dinner maker. Refer to bud for more information about this. -Chris

8/2 - 8/3

Another unexpected trip to the cabin. Mike + Chris hiked 14 miles w/ full packs. It hurt. The sky opened up. Everything got wet. We chafed. It was bad. Rob however dropped his pack after 14 miles, hiked another 6 or 7, then caught a ride back to the truck. Luckily, nobody died. Blisters the size of golf balls. Very bad. Can't wait to do another leg of the shore to shore trail. -Mike

Mike, Chris + Rob popped in for 8 hours to repack + get ready for the Lucerne to McKinley stretch of the shore to shore trail. Got ready way to late to start. Next time, make Chris a COLOR copy of the map. -Mike
