Dan came up. Fished at the old campsite. Caught a nice brown trout and an O.K. brook trout within 15 min of getting into the river on a Sulfur. (about 1:30 pm) The flys stopped shortly after that. Then it got pretty cold and by night time the river was pretty dead. Sunday he fished for about 2 hours(10:30-12:30) but not much was happening. He also went down to the wetland on the trail leading to the fishing spot where he saw a Green Winged Teal and a Spotted Sandpiper. -Dan
Mike Beth Chris Jeff Rob and Jackie came up. We went and did a day hike on the Mason Track. We were going to backpack but weather forecast of severe thunderstorms prevented us. We all went to DQ after the hike. Chris played Nintendo Mario Brothers, that Mike and Beth brought up. Beth is Chris' Nintendo mentor. Our decision to not backpack turned out to be a good one as several storms passed during the night. We made a fire and sat around talking about movies. Once we started talking about scarry movies Jackie had to go inside. Jeff thinks Chris is a "cheating bastard" at Cribbage. He's probably right. Running low on Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster mix. Mike brought up a load of wormy maple for the bonfire & Chris brought up another truckload of stuff he couldnt fit in the Chateau trailer downstate. Jackie did her first 9 1/2 mile hike (without a pack) Got 2 blisters and her feet hurt. We are all so proud of her. -Mike
